Mr. Shariq Syed serves as a Principal at Westbury Partners. Mr. Syed’s responsibilities include deal origination, transaction structuring and portfolio company management.

Previously, Mr. Syed served as an Associate with the Financial Sponsors group at Jefferies & Co. In this capacity, Mr. Syed provided debt financing solutions to support leveraged buy-outs, mergers and acquisitions, and recapitalizations across a variety of sectors including Industrial, Consumer and Real Estate. Prior to joining Jefferies, Mr. Syed served as an Analyst at Lightyear Capital – a private equity fund focused on the Financial Services market.

Mr. Syed received his BA in Economics from Boston University and his MBA from the Yale School of Management.
